The Virginia Alliance for Secure Computing and Networking (VASCAN) exists for the purpose of strengthening information technology security programs within the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Getting to the Roots:  Cyber Security in Action

Information security professionals, development and operations staff, auditors, managers and product vendors all work together as the roots for developing and maturing information security programs at our universities.  Many such individuals are already at work filling this year's VASCAN conference program with an exciting mix of track sessions and special presentations to address our latest security challenges.  Presenters will share valuable technical information along with practical examples from their own experience.  There will also be plenty of opportunity for focused discussion and casual information sharing.

Sessions on enhancing core security controls, vendor risk assessment, tools and techniques for building secure cloud environments, new approaches to vulnerability assessment, monitoring and secure delivery, etc. will offer attendees plenty of chances to engage and grow professionally.  The conference will also offer an optional training opportunity geared toward Growing Security in the Amazon Web Services.

 To Attend:

The conference fee for attendees is $150 per person for the two-day conference and includes breakfast, lunch and break offerings as well as parking.  For those attending the supplemental training, there will be an additional $50 charge.  Go HERE to complete your registration.
