Discussion Board

VA SCAN provides a discussion forum for its outreach community. This currently includes representatives from Virginia higher education institutions. Participants may use the list to exchange information and debate a wide-range of security issues. Subscribe to the VA SCAN discussion list.

VA CIRT Security Alerts

In the mid-1990s Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University formed the VA-CIRT group to provide early warnings of new security threats and to hold periodic educational meetings to build incident response expertise. Members came from larger institutions of higher education with Virginia. VA SCAN is supporting the expansion of this group to include all Virginia institutions and beyond if requested by the Commonwealth of Virginia. Join the VA-CIRT group.
